Learning resources for practical workplace learning

This page describes the resource types used across BdB Hold B.V. programs. Resources are designed to support learning transfer: templates, short guides, and workbooks that help learners produce concrete work outputs like agendas, status updates, and project plans.

Resources support education and practice; they are not consulting deliverables or professional advice.

Delivery is fully online for learners across Canada, with guidance from learner support when included.

Resource categories

Resources are built to be used in real work contexts. Where possible, materials produce a measurable artifact: a decision log, a weekly plan, a stakeholder update, or a lightweight project schedule. In education design terms, these are “performance supports” that reduce the cognitive overhead of starting from a blank page.

Reusable templates

Workplace templates

Templates provide structure without over-engineering. Typical examples include meeting agenda formats, action logs, handover notes, stakeholder updates, a basic RACI matrix, and short “one-page” briefs that keep scope and decisions visible.

Learners are encouraged to tailor tone, fields, and cadence to their organisation’s norms. The goal is clarity and repeatability, not a one-size-fits-all document set.

Short guides

Business guides

Brief guides summarise a concept, show a worked example, and list practical “do / don’t” patterns. The writing is intentionally plain and focuses on actions a learner can practice the same day.

Scripts & examples

Communication templates

Message patterns for email, meeting follow-ups, escalation notes, and constructive feedback. These are phrasing examples and structures, intended to be adapted to context and organisational policy.

Workbooks and practice prompts

Workbooks translate lessons into deliberate practice. A typical workbook includes reflection questions, “rewrite” exercises for professional writing, role-play prompts for difficult conversations, and small assignments like building a weekly plan with a timeboxed schedule.

These prompts are designed to make learning visible through output. Learner support can clarify instructions and concepts, but BdB Hold B.V. does not provide consulting or advisory services.

Planning tools

Productivity planners

Weekly planning sheets, prioritisation frameworks, and task triage prompts. The intent is to help learners build a repeatable cadence: plan, execute, review, and reset.

Project artifacts

Project planning templates

Lightweight project tools such as scope statements, WBS starters, risk logs, and weekly status formats. Materials emphasise “good enough” documentation that supports coordination.

How resources are used in programs

Resources are introduced at the moment they become useful. For example, a lesson on meeting structure will include an agenda template plus an exercise that produces an agenda for a real upcoming meeting. A project planning module uses a simple work breakdown structure (WBS) starter and a risk log to teach how to track dependencies and assumptions without drowning in tooling.

Most programs follow a predictable cycle: short lesson, example, practice task, then a brief check against a rubric or checklist. This helps learners self-assess quality before sharing an output at work. Where live workshops are used, exercises are completed in-session and reviewed in a group setting focused on learning points, not personal evaluation.

Materials are educational and informational only. They do not replace organisational policies, legal requirements, or professional advice. Learners remain responsible for how they apply any template or concept within their own workplace context.
